Putting Links in Your Blog Posts

Linking in Blogs
How many of you want to make some extra cash, but are not quite certain which is the best way to do it?
Well there are several ways that you can earn money from your blog. I want to concentrate on one method today.
That method is: Using Links on your Blog Posts.
After you have spent a lot of time writing your blog article, it would seem a waste if you cannot monetize it in some way.
Putting links into your blog using chosen keywords is an effective way to make some cash (maybe I should say now or sometime in the future).
Now of course there are no guarantees but if the links aren't there you'll definately not be earning!
This is where the tricky part starts if you've not done any affiliate linking before.
First you need to sign up with someone or some company that has the right product to sell based on the best keyword in your blog.
Example: If I wrote a sentence based on catflaps, I would probably write something like this:
'if you are thinking of allowing your cat access into your house without encouraging other cats and small animals, it is best to consider the different types of catflaps. There are some catflaps that you can get that only open when your cat wears a special collar......'
Now in this sentence I would be looking at the word 'catflaps' and deciding where I could go to get an offer of a catflap or perhaps a book about the different catflaps.
Sorry I couldn't find any digital books about catflaps but you see what I meen. I hope!!
I probably would go to ClickBank for the digital book - it's easy to sign up to be an affiliate of ClickBank, but a word of warning - it does take a while to receive your earnings. That said, you will always get them as they are very credible. To join just follow their instructions carefully and you'll be okay.
For the actual catflap, I would use an affiliate company like Commission Junction. It's free to sign up with them and they have a wide range of products and suppliers to choose from. For every product you want to promote you need to tell them which website or blog you will be advertising on and also you need to get the company that sells the product to agree to you selling for them. It sounds a lot, the first time will be strange and new but after theat you'll be wondering why you worried!
If you're promoting in the UK I'd recommend getting an affiliate with Argos as they sell most things and then you'll have time to get to know the site.
So let's take it you've signed up with an affiliate site and you've got your product chosen.
You now need to get the address of the product page with your affiliate code embedded into it.
Clickbank will give you a line of code that you copy and paste. Commission Junction give you quite a bit of HTML coding.
So to embed the link highlight your keyword, go to the link icon on your blog editor and a new box appears. Fill in the line of code ( address and affiliate code only) into the appropriate box. Add the Alt-Text Description and Save.
Go back to your post and test the link. There you have it a link that may make you some cash. Someone should come along, they love your post and realise that you know what you're talking about so they trust the fact that you have put a link on your page as a recommended product to buy!
Easy!! Well you need to give yourself some time to do this or find a person that can help you.
ebizadvice has some great software to help you automate this process but I suggest you head over to www.ebizadvice.net for that info.
I guess I just briefly went over the process but I hope that you get a better understanding of the process.
You will noticed that I have masked my links. If you need to find out more about this process feel free to visit my site.
